Making an outstanding contribution to the global whisky industry

Jeff Chau, our Managing Director for Greater China, has been inducted to the Hall of Fame of Whisky Magazine

At the annual awards gala Icons of Whisky China, conducted by the Chinese edition of Whisky Magazine, Jeff was inducted into the 64th Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame worldwide.

He is only the second person from China to have received this honour.

Whisky Magazine Hall of Fame recognises all outstanding contributors to the entire whisky industry worldwide.

An extraordinary career

Jeff entered the whisky industry in 2004 and has over 15 years of experience in the Greater China whisky market. 

He joined us in 2013 to grow our Chinese mainland business.

In 2015, he moved to Taiwan where he led the team to grow our brands, all with spectacular results. Jeff’s remit was expanded to Greater China in early 2018, taking on the challenge of the most exciting and highly potential luxury spirits market. 

Greater China achieved amazing results in 2019 and contributed significantly to our success in Asia Pacific.

Jeff says he'll follow the steps of previous Hall of Famers and stand firm in his faith in whisky and life:
